INVOLVED!
Hickory-Fountain Green Softball is “all about the girls” and
participation is key to the success of any program. We encourage the
girls to strive to better their level of play and make it a positive
and FUN experience for them. As parents, we not only support the
girls in practice and game play, but also by volunteering our time
in other small ways to help the program remain strong. Please let
us know where you could volunteer your time by e-mailing
hfgsoftball@comcast.net or noting it at the time of
registration. Committees are forming now.
COMMITTEES
Special Events: Assist in
organizing either of our two main events with the planning of food,
entertainment, scheduling, etc.
Opening Day 2010 is
Saturday, April 24th All-Star Day is Saturday, June 12th
HFG
2nd Annual Invitational All Star Tournament June 19-20th
Sponsorship: Assist
with the planning and visiting of community businesses to ask for
their support of our program. Present our sponsorship packages and
gather their information for use in our different mediums (program
booklet, website, signs, certificates).
Fundraising:
Assist with the continued coordination of our main fundraiser, the
distribution and collection of our raffle tickets. Other
opportunities include spiritwear sales, restaurant fundraiser
nights, and any NEW IDEAS.

Coaches and Assistant Coaches:
There is always a need for coaches and assistants, who better to
work with the girls? If you have the time, skills, and desire to
work with a team of girls, consider volunteering to coach.
Umpires:
Parent volunteer umpires can be used
for any age group depending upon your level of knowledge and comfort
with the game. If you are willing to “call a game”, please let us
know.

CURRENT FUNDRAISING ACTIVITY
For the year 2010,
we will be sponsoring a raffle with three opportunities to win cash
prizes. Cash prizes will be $500 for First Prize, $300 for
Second Prize, and $200 for Third Prize. The drawing will be held
on Opening Day, April 24th, 2010. During registration, each
registered player will be given a minimum of 5 raffle tickets to
sell to family, friends, neighbors, etc. at a cost of $5 per ticket.
Parents will have the choice to either:
1) Pay for the five tickets at the time of registration ($25
extra in addition to the registration fee), sell the tickets and
keep the money, and then turn in only the stubs when they are
collected at Parent’s Night in March
2) For those that prefer not to pay in advance, all money
and stubs must be turned in on Parent’s Night.
Please place money and stubs in an
envelope with daughter’s name, age group, and coach on the front.

SPONSORSHIPS
We offer three levels of opportunities for local businesses to
support our program. Each level of sponsorship has a unique package
based on the requested donation amount. Sponsorships will be
available for $250, $175, and $100. Some of the benefits being
offered in return (based on the plan selected) may include their
company name on the back of a team’s uniform shirt, an ad in our
Opening Day Program Booklet, business name included on sponsorship
sign at Hickory Park, mention on our web site under Community
Sponsors, and/or a team plaque or certificate of appreciation.
