Offered
by the Hickory-Fountain Green Recreation Council in cooperation with
Harford County Parks and Recreation, Hickory is located in the center
of the County just minutes north of Bel Air. The program uses
facilities at Hickory Park, Hickory and Fountain Green Elementary
Schools, C. Milton Wright High School, and Tucker Field.
All of our girls are given the opportunity to learn this awesome sport
of softball and continue to develop their skills. Most importantly,
however, is that they will experience fun, good sportsmanship, and
healthy competition.
Ages 5-6 and
7-8 participate in a clinic atmosphere where they are taught basic
skills and then apply them in game situations. Our 9-10 and 11-13
age groups consistently have enough teams to support playing
“in-house” where the girls will versus their neighbors and friends
from school. New this year, our 14-18 teams will participate
in an all Harford County Co-Op Fastpitch Rec League where they will
play against teams from neighboring communities such as Joppa,
Aberdeen, North Harford, etc. We are excited to be a part of this
co-op because it will give our older girls an expanded opportunity to
play softball against a variety of teams
HFG Softball is also
proud to support our very own Lady Hornets travel teams for
ages U10, U12, and U14. This talented group of girls compete in local
tournaments and summer travel leagues all around the area. Please
